Energy flows where intention goes. Where we place our attention is important because that’s what forms our intention. In other words, we see what we’re looking for and move in the direction we are looking. We can consciously set our course or leave ourselves at the mercy of the weather. We may end up chasing what we don’t want because we’re so focused on it. This is known as the Law of Attraction, you attract what you project.
In Yoga we practice healing and aligning the body and stilling the mind so we can meditate to hear our soul’s deepest intentions. This is called Sankalpa, and when we discover our Sankulpa we have found our purpose in life. We all have skills and gifts to share in this interdependent world. When we are living with passion and purpose, then we are truly alive and awakened to our potential.
It’s important to set our intentions on big and small things. Taking a moment to clear the head and heart will allow us to manifest our actions to match our intentions. Just like a tiny boat in the universal ocean, it’s important to check in on a regular basis to make sure we’re still on the right course and that the destination will be worth the journey.
