Today marks the Winter Solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year. All things in the universe move in cycles and with the seasons. These patterns are based on the movement of the stars, planets and universal energetic tides. The microcosm and the macrocosm reflect the same fractal patterns that apply to the biggest and smallest of matter and life.
Now is the perfect time to go within and reflect on all that you have gathered in this seasonal cycle. Now is the perfect time to hibernate with intention and move a little deeper within. Just like the trees, in winter we can lay our branches bare and go underground to nourish and deepen our roots. This is the restorative process that prepares us for fresh growth in the spring.
In honor of the Winter Solstice, this week we will practice Moon Salutations, honoring our restorative power and 108 Sun Salutations to welcome the new season.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
